From 1981 to 1992 (total 11 years), I served as the pathologist participating in service, research and teaching in the Department of Pathology at University of California , Irvine (UCI). During 1984 to 1992, I specialized as gynecological pathologist and the work was also heavily involved in cervical carcinoma research. In 1992, I joined the practicing pathology group working in the Department of Pathology at St Joseph Hospital and Children's Hospital of Orange (CHOC) and since then my activities have been primarily focused on gynecological and breast pathology.
My research activity has continued at St. Joseph Hospital and I also am a Clinical Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Epidemiology at UCI. In my research activities I collaborate with researchers in the Epidemiology Division as well as the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics. I also participate in the International Gynecological Oncology Group. The research subjects are primarily focused on familial breast carcinomas and cervical dysplasia/neoplasia. A total of 68 publications have been generated form these works.
